Our office cares for both children and adults, and we have two locations with convenient evening and weekend hours to serve your needs.

      • Rudaina Swais, CPC, NCICS - Practice Manager

        Dana has been with the practice since 1991, and brings with her 25 years of experience in the health-care field, education and business development. Having served as the Program Chair at Corinthian Colleges, Inc. she possesses the experience, skills, and judgment for providing leadership to staff and thereby ensure delivery of best patient care. She is a certified Medical Assistant and a certified Medical coder, she holds a First Aid /CPR Instructor certification, and is recipient of numerous awards in health care field.


        Mrs. Swais is passionate about excellence in patient care and believes in long term relationships, based on trust and mutual respect. As the staff supervisor, she leads by example where patients come first, and ensures a culture of care where each patient is special. She is always available to address any need, be it a health-related issue or an insurance and billing query.

      • Trina Ellis ­ Childs, MS, BS, ADN. - Nurse Supervisor

        Trina has recently joined our practice and brings with her over 25 years of healthcare experience. Starting in Allied Health, she went on to earn her degree in Registered Nursing and a Masters in Health Education. Her broad-based experience in various clinical specialties at institutions such as Northwestern Memorial Hospital and Rush Medical Centers has given her a solid clinical skill set. As the Director of Education, Trina has acquired the teaching and managerial skills that allow her to effectively participate in areas of community awareness and public health. As a healthcare professional, she has expanded her abilities in many aspects of the workforce. In the course of her various academic and administrative accomplishments over the years of her professional career, she has developed the ability to establish rapport, gain trust, and communicate effectively with patients, staff, and the community at large.Trina recognizes that her experience with several diverse opportunities in the medical field has enriched her professionally and led to personal growth. Also, in the course of her career path, she has inspired, educated, and supported many individuals. She continues to be an advocate for community health and finds it to be a rewarding journey. In the clinical setting of Midwest Allergy & Asthma Clinic, her background as a health educator, her clinical expertise, and her kind and caring personality fit right in with our philosophy of self-help and preventive approach towards disease management.

      Dr. Naheed Qayyum Allergy and Asthma

      About Dr. Naheed M Qayyum

      is a Board-certified internist with advanced training in allergy, asthma, and clinical immunology (adults and pediatrics) and has been in practice since 1987, serving the community in south Chicago and western suburbs.


      The doctor completed an internal medicine residency at The John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, a Fellowship at the Max Samter Institute of Allergy and Clinical Immunology at Grant Hospital, and Rush-Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center.She is on medical staff at Hinsdale, LaGrange Memorial, Little Company of Mary, and Bolingbrook Hospitals. She has held numerous leadership positions in local professional organizations and served as the president and later chairperson of the board of trustees of the Physicians of Pakistan-Descent Society. She is a member of various professional organizations, including ISAACI, ACP, APPNA, and PPS.


      The doctor’s professional philosophy is to deliver quality medical care with an emphasis on prevention and early treatment, with minimal need for hospitalization and emergency room visits. Her prime concern is to reduce lost work and school absenteeism and get the patient back to normal activities as soon as possible. Once the acute phase is controlled, an individualized, personal approach to each patient ensures an enhanced quality of life with an adequate maintenance treatment plan. Her approach to medical care is based on a participatory patient-physician relationship with an emphasis on patient education and self-management. She firmly believes that an informed patient is an empowered one, and taking charge of one's own health is the beginning of a life-changing experience.


      In addition to her professional responsibilities, Dr. Qayyum is deeply involved with community service and philanthropy. She, with her husband, Dr. Ijaz Qayyum, is a founding member of the Human Development Foundation of North America, a non-profit organization for education, healthcare, poverty alleviation, and women empowerment. She serves on the Board of Directors of HDFNA and is very passionate about its mission of serving the underprivileged people of Pakistan. She visits the projects regularly, volunteering her time.

      If you have any forms that need completion, such as school physicals,handicapped placard forms, or employment forms, please let us know when you schedule your visit and again when you check in.

      If your health plan requires a co-payment, we will collect it during registration


      Please note the last injection is given 30 minutes before closing time: all patients are required to wait for 20 minutes after the injection.
